Sequoyah Hunter-Cuyjet, founder of Harmony in Hue and A We Thang Collective, a socially-conscious design studio and Women & Queer Folx design co-operative based in Philadelphia, PA. Her childhood on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton, NY, where they grew up surrounded by nature, fostered a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship, and instilled a passion for design. Her diverse art and culturally-rich background, combined with her multidisciplinary design experience, make her a versatile and talented designer.

Hunter-Cuyjet earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied art, literature, and anthropology. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Moore College of Art + Design, where she was the first Native American to graduate from the MFA program in Interior Design. Boutique Magazine recognized her as a 2020 Boutique 18, "a rising star in hospitality design".
She is the former Vice President of Determined by Design where she cultivated, grew and led a team for sole proprietor interior designer, growing the business and developing a workflow process for the expanding workload and breathing deeper narrative into the design process.
She's an active Adjunct Professor at Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts & Design Interior Architecture Department.
